LN59 - Massu Obstinate Rush
(French: 'Massu fonce bride abattue')

August 17, 1944 (Dusk) - Normandy & Maine confines
('Pays d'Auge', French area of the most famous stud farms)
Made with Editor version 0.2.70 (8/2018)
Tested with Game version 1.1.14 (8/2018)

Background (semi historical scenario):

Commandant (Major) Jacques Massu leads the 2nd battalion,
Chad March Regiment forming a task force supported
by light tanks of the 12th African Chasseurs Regiment and
armored scout cars of the 1st Moroccan Spahis Regiment
(Colonel de Langlade). Task Force Langlade ('GTL' means
'Groupement Tactique Langlade') of the 2nd Free French
Armored Division, XVth Corps, IIIrd US Army fights against
the depleted German 728th Infantry Regiment, all what is
remaining from the 708. ID, former 708. Festung Division,
a static unit on the Atlantik Wall
that was evacuated during July from the Bordeaux-Royan area
- which unit is strenghthened by few elements detached
from the 'Panzeraufklrungs Abteilung', 116th Panzer Division
(the famous Greyhound Division), a far more stronger unit
that is currently evacuating the Falaise Pocket a few kilometers
away northwest of the narrow river La Dives.

American (Free French, US fitted) --> [- German
- Playable as American only (Side B moves first)
- AI Attitude: Hold (German deploys first)

US: AFV (Light), BAZ, DC, FT, HMG, INF (1st Line, few Elite), MMG, MTR
GE: AFV (Light), INF (2nd Line)

- No other details to preserve the surprise effect and
'to give more chances to the AI' (dedicated to UP844)

Victory Conditions/Objectives/Parameters:

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Very Hard (highly recommanded for a real challenging game)
QUALITY PATH: High
FOW: Yes
LOS: 8 hexes (because of the late hour the action occurs)
MAP: 1 x 2 Sectors (designed by DoubleDeuce for the contest)
MOD: No
SPECIAL RULE: No
SCENARIO LENGTH: 10 Game Turns
- Not 8 turns: too short for the action to actually be completed
by the human player, which is why this scenario was 'outed' from competition.
VARIABLE END: enabled from Turn 9 on a dr <= 3 (1 chance upon 2)
- So, uncertainty weighs on both sides!
OPTION 'If a SIDE loses all units, a Scenario/CG ends': Yes
- The human player must be very careful on this: destroying all German units
can make him miss the opportunity of a Major Victory if he hasn't made enough
AFV out of the map. [Yes, it happened to me!]

VICTORY OBJECTIVE:
- Both sides will obtain VPs while keeping/seizing VPOs and inflicting KIAs
- American only, earns EXIT VPs.

AFTERMATH:
- Please, consider that only a Major Victory means a real Allied success while
the Axis loses only if it really suffers a Major Defeat.
